Environmental Exposure

As part of out commitment to optical testing, Spica Technologies maintains a full service environmental laboratory. Numerous chambers provide either stable temperature and humidity exposure or temperature and humidity cycling. Specific chambers have been modified to allow the testing of optical components for laser damage threshold, optical density and transmission under environmental conditions. Additional capabilities include salt fog exposure, and environmental weathering. Tests such as coating durability including mild and severe abrasion, or tape testing can also be performed in conjunction with the range of environmental tests.
