Laser Damage Testing Engineer
Responsibilities will include setup and operation of laser, spectrophotometer, microscopy and other testing stations, running laser damage tests, performing optical metrology, reflectivity/transmission measurements. Other duties will be determined as situations arise and experience is gained.
Job description:
This is a position in a small 6 employee laser damage testing company which has shown year over year growth since 2004. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Optical, Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical preferred, but all considered), an understanding of lasers and a strong desire for hands on work. Laser damage or other industry testing experience is a plus. Most testing will involve either optical part certification or maximum laser damage threshold tests with some individual projects.
Ideal candidate:
Engineering background, experience with lasers and optics, mechanically adept, exposure to programming languages (Labview, C#, Matlab) and proficient with spreadsheets, good work ethic.
